Manchester United Soccer Schools

In 2007, SCDM was provided certain rights to the Manchester United Soccer Schools brand through a 10 year exclusive partnership agreement with Nike Inc. (NIKE). SCDM has the exclusive rights to manage and operate Manchester United Soccer Schools operations in soccer facilities for the Greater Toronto area that will operate with Manchester United Soccer Club staff, curriculum and the most powerful brand in sports. This will allow SCDM to provide children with the highest caliber soccer instruction in North America by using the top soccer curriculum in the world.

SCDM plans to create a powerful delivery system to provide children in Southern Ontario with world class soccer instruction under one of the top soccer brands in the world. In conjunction with the Oakville Sports Centre, SCDM intends to build the first purpose built Manchester United Soccer Schools facility outside of the UK . In addition, SCDM will manage the sports facility with a significant degree of separation from the balance of the industry.

SCDM believes that the inclusion of the Manchester United Soccer Schools program as a mainstay of the programming for a significant soccer facility will be extremely beneficial and draw students, parents and coaching staff from many other areas in the Southern Ontario market and beyond.

The primary point of differentiation for SCDM ability is through revolutionizing the way soccer education is delivered in the area. Currently, there is no soccer academy modeled after the highly successful soccer schools of Europe . Most children today learn how to play soccer in an unstructured environment for soccer. They learn at school from gym teachers who are not soccer specialists; from their friends, or if they are fortunate, they catch on with one of the few club teams, who may or may not take the time to teach them the fundamentals of the game. SCDM has an agreement to bring the Manchester United Soccer Academy program to the Southern Ontario market on an exclusive basis.
